Grafik Design Awards 2010
Thursday, January 7th, 2010
Grafik Magazine, the UK’s only monthly magazine devoted entirely to graphic design is to launch its own awards scheme. The first Grafik Design Awards is open for entries at www.awards.grafikmag.com with a closing date of 31 January 2010. The awards event itself will take place 29 April 2010.

via awards.grafikmag.com:
Welcome to the Grafik Design Awards — an exciting new awards scheme, which aims to celebrate the stars of UK graphic design. There is a whole constellation of different stars out there — some have been shining brightly for many years, others are difficult to detect.
We love graphic design and want to celebrate and reward outstanding talent, from established, well-respected designers, to those just starting out (we will be awarding a ‘Best Newcomer Award’). The Grafik Design Awards are the only UK awards solely for graphic design, and they will be different to other awards schemes by being genuinely top quality, accessible (easy and affordable to enter) and most importantly, talent-driven.
Many of the best people don’t enter awards and we want to change this. We have consulted with some of the UK’s top designers to help us create an awards scheme with integrity that everyone will want to enter.
We want this to be the ‘Oscars’ of graphic design, so help us to find the work that best represents our industry by emailing us and recommending projects that you think deserve to win a Grafik Star, and also your suggestion for ‘Best Studio Award’.

Happy Pills is a candy store in Barcelona conceptualized as a sort-of pharmaceutical shop. Overall this is a very cool identity concept by Barcelona firm marion + merche.

Check out themarion + merche site for their other awesome projects.
